07. Moai Statues: Did Easter Island Invent Anti-Gravity?

We're tackling another famous relic from our own podcast logo and the only topic with its own emoji, the Moai! Did the Rapa Nui people "walk" these enormous statues to their places around the island with advanced anti-gravity technology given to them by ancient aliens? Hey— probably not!
But there are some genuine mysteries surrounding how and why these works of art were made, and more ominously... why did they abruptly stop making them? Was an Italian plumber involved? We'll never know for sure!

The Mayan King Pakal is dead. That's not the weird part. The weird part is the lid of his sarcophagus which has been carved with mysterious artwork that appears as if he's blasting off into space on an ancient Mayan spaceship. But is Pakal really a Palenque astronaut? Did he get this oddly advanced technology from alien visitors? Or, is there a more grounded explanation for this otherworldly imagery?

04. Vimanas: Ancient Flying Machines?

If the Nazca Lines were ancient airports (and they weren't or else we'd have found evidence of ancient Cinnabons) then what were the aircraft that might have flown out of them? To Ancient Aliens theorists, the answer is Vimanas — mythological flying chariots described in ancient Hindu texts.
At least, that is the conclusion you'd probably come to if you just made a whole bunch of stuff up. Which is, of course, what happened.

03. Nazca Lines: Giant Animal Drawings for Alien Overlords?

We're FINALLY actually talking about the show Ancient Aliens today to discuss the Nazca Lines — massive geoglyphs located in the Peruvian coastal plain. Some are just lines, while some are in the intricate shapes of animals. But, you can only see these figures from the sky... kinda.
Were they symbols meant for extraterrestrial visitors? Were they runways for ancient aircraft? How could these have even been built in the first place? It's impossible to know! Except, uh, actually it's not. The actual history behind the Nazca Lines is even more interesting than assuming they were made by aliens.

01. Where are all the aliens?!

Before we can debunk a bunch of Ancient Aliens theories, we first need to ask the big question... are aliens even out there? In part one of this question, Tristan discusses the Fermi Paradox and gives Scott all the theories about the human species might tragically be alone in the universe.
